Selenite is KJD's design of the hypothetical fusion of Moonstone (and, by extension, Albite and Orthoclase) and Ice.

Appearance Edit

Selenite has a pattens blue complexion, fluffy alice blue hair, four blizzard blue eyes with visible pupils, a long, small nose, plump lips, a narrow waist, and four arms. Her build is similar to that of Garnet's. Her gemstones are located on her chest, sternum, and navel.

She wears an azure, sleeveless tunic with a sky blue collar and banding, alice blue pants with picton blue and sky blue banding at the bottoms, astral arm bracers with seagull stars on her upper arms, and an angular, sky blue sash around her waist. Her pants extend to cover most of her feet, ending just before the toes.

Personality Edit

Nothing is known about Selenite's personality yet.

Abilities Edit

Selenite possesses standard Gem abilities, bubbling, shapeshifting, fusion, regeneration, agelessness, and superhuman strength/durability.

Unique Abilities Edit

  • Telepathy: She has the ability to connect with another gem's mind and sense the gems nearby, an ability inherited from Moonstone.
  • Acrobatic Skills: Like Moonstone, she can be very agile and flexible in battle.
  • Cryokinesis: She possesses Ice's ability to control and create ice and snow.
  • styche proficiency: she is able to summon moonstone´s styche

Gemstone Information

  • Selenite, satin spar, desert rose, and gypsum flower are four varieties of the mineral gypsum; all four varieties show obvious crystalline structure. The four "crystalline" varieties of gypsum are sometimes grouped together and called selenite.
    • All varieties of gypsum, including selenite and alabaster, are composed of calcium sulfate dihydrate (meaning that it has two molecules of water), with the chemical formula CaSO4·2H2O.
    • All varieties of gypsum are very soft minerals (hardness: 2 on Mohs Scale). This is the most important identifying characteristic of gypsum, as any variety of gypsum can be easily scratched with a fingernail. Also, because gypsum has natural thermal insulating properties, all varieties feel warm to the touch.
  • It's most often transparent and colorless and it is named after Greek σεληνη= "the moon".
  • If selenite crystals show translucency, opacity, and/or color, it is caused by the presence of other minerals, sometimes in druse
